Happiness Is When What You Think, What You Say, and What You Do Are in Harmony – Mahatma Gandhi

Seek to create an alignment between your thinking and your actions.  For it’s so difficult to cultivate that sense of happiness for ourselves when the two are at odds with each other.

Aligning your thinking with your actions takes mindful awareness.  It means taking a day to step back and observing your tendencies, your habits, thoughts and routines.  It means becoming mindful of exactly where you might be out of step and then making the necessary changes.      

It’s a common sense principle, yet for so many of us, not commonly practiced.

When we hope, but never do.  Dream, but never act. Desire, but only delay.  When we give in to procrastination or choose comfort over challenge.  When we seed these positive ideas with negative actions, including lack of action, we set ourselves up for unhappiness.

We can’t expect to grow flowers, by planting weeds.

  2. I really love this post. I am on a personal quest to bettering my life and I have noticed over time how important role your thoughts as well as your actions play in your life. I really do believe in the law of attraction. What you send out into the universe you receive back.
