Many of us seem to go through life thinking that things just happen to us – either because these things are destined to happen; or because a higher power is ruling over us; or simply because we have no way of controlling our lives, for any reason.
But as Rhonda Byrne says, life isn’t just happening to us. Life never “just happens,” and life is not what happens while you’re busy making other plans. Everything that is in your life at the moment, everything that is happening to you, is a reaction to what you have thought, felt, and done. It is life responding to, and granting, your wishes.
You and your life are not separate entities. You are one and the same. Your life is just the response to what goes on within you – it’s action and reaction. You can choose to take control over the things that happen, by choosing what thoughts are allowed to circle in your mind, and by noticing what feelings are running through you and changing the ones that don’t feel good.
Everything that happens is a response to the things you do. By becoming more aware of this, you can choose what responses you will get.
