Self-Worth Comes From One Thing – Thinking That You Are Worthy – Wayne Dyer

How a person rates their individual level of success often depends on how others treat them. If we are complimented, we tend to feel good about ourselves and if we are put down in some way, we tend to feel unimportant or useless. The key to feeling truly good about ourselves is to rely on ourselves for positivity – not others.

Perhaps you were recently denied being hired for a job, or perhaps you were told that you weren’t very good at something. Maybe someone threw some harsh words your way and they affected you much more than you anticipated. It’s perfectly normal to find yourself hurt when others are unkind, but we cannot let them take away our confidence.

We have to set goals for ourselves. We have to remember that the lives we are living belong to us and nobody else. It’s perfectly reasonable to want the people we love to be proud of us. However, we need to reflect on the importance of each and every one of us being aware of our own greatness!

About B.G.

Hi. I enjoy writing and sharing my experiences with others. For many years, I have struggled with anxiety and know how difficult it is to deal with something so seemingly limiting. My hobbies include: writing, reading, watching TV, and working hard to get through my anxiety. I hope that through my writing I can help others realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can overcome their obstacles! I currently have blogs at www.gettingthroughanxiety.wordpress.com and www.restinpieceblog.wordpress.com - In addition, I am the author of the fantasy-horror novel, Rest in Piece and short story collection, Abstract Clarity.
