On a round rock, made up of mostly water, we dance with our brightest star. We rest with the moon, rise with sun, and experience life in between. We enjoy friends, fall in love, and bring more life into the world. But in this simplicity, also lives the complexities we have created for ourselves.
The complexities that separate us, the ones that convince our human race is not one, but autonomous fragments. The complexities that create an absence of love, shutting out the possibility of recognizing another’s heart as our own. The complexities that birth apathy and breed indifference where compassion needs a home. The complexities that feeds fear and steals away our faith and hope for a better world.
These complexities are the belief systems we have allowed to mold our opinions about our world and each other. They are the seeds we keep watering with our negative opinions. They are seeds we keep watering with the finger-pointing and lack of self-awareness. They are what we have created and how we are not changing the world into expanding with love, but retracting into indifference, apathy, and hate.
However, if we all dive within, we remember, change starts within. Simplicity lives with us. Our expanding into love starts with ourselves, our example, how WE approach the world and each other. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone has a perspective. But it is how we live each and every day and put those opinions and perspectives into action that makes an impact. It is in the simplicity the world is changed. Be simple. Be love. The world is changed by the VERB that is YOU.
