Trying to Do It All and Expecting That It All Can Be Done Exactly Right Is a Recipe for Disappointment – Sheryl Sandberg

We all have flaws – some that benefit us and others that might not. Flaws make us who we are. Nobody can be perfect. So why do we expect our plans to be executed perfectly, and beat ourselves up when they aren’t?

Perfection is a goal that will bring us more disappointment than happiness. The truth is, our plans rarely turn out exactly how we expect them to, even if we ultimately end up achieving our goals. During our lives, we have to cut corners or take detours while getting to where we want to go. But in the end, we can still end up at our desired destination.

As long as you keep your integrity and spirit and achieve your goals, don’t beat yourself up over the imperfections that make up your life. They’re unavoidable, and may just help you grow as a person in the long run.
