Yesterday Is Not Ours to Recover, but Tomorrow Is Ours to Win or Lose – Lyndon B. Johnson

Back to the Future, Frequency, Timecop. What do all of these movies have in common? They all have the plot of someone going back in time, or forward, and attempting to change certain events or situations for the better. These types of movies are popular for a reason: we all like to imagine a world where we can go back and rectify events that we feel need fixing.

Much to the dismay of many movie goers, scientists have not yet developed a way to travel in time. In fact, it’s quite possible that time travel will never become a reality. Fortunately, we have the present and the future to bring our dreams to life.

So much of our time is spent regretting bad choices we may have made or situations we wish would have turned out differently. A person can cause themselves great pain looking back on all the negative instead of focusing on the positive. While it may be hard not to dwell on the past, sometimes we have to concentrate on the fact that each day should be looked at as a clean slate – a new chance to start again and be the best you can be. Learn from your past mistakes but don’t live in the past!

About B.G.

Hi. I enjoy writing and sharing my experiences with others. For many years, I have struggled with anxiety and know how difficult it is to deal with something so seemingly limiting. My hobbies include: writing, reading, watching TV, and working hard to get through my anxiety. I hope that through my writing I can help others realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can overcome their obstacles! I currently have blogs at www.gettingthroughanxiety.wordpress.com and www.restinpieceblog.wordpress.com - In addition, I am the author of the fantasy-horror novel, Rest in Piece and short story collection, Abstract Clarity.
