You Know, You Do Need Mentors, but in the End, You Really Just Need to Believe in Yourself – Diana Ross

Having mentors and people who are willing to support us is a very positive thing. Still, we need to learn to depend on ourselves above all others.

Friends come and go and sometimes we lose those who we are closest to. The one person who will always remain by our side, no matter what, is ourselves. We need to be kind to the person we see in the mirror! Trust yourself and not just those around you. When it comes down to it, you are the most important person you can believe in!

We cannot risk not having faith in ourselves. In order to accomplish our goals, we have to believe that we can. Even if everyone else has our back, if we tell ourselves day in and day out that we can’t be successful, chances are that we won’t be. Make sure that in addition to placing trust in others, you are also placing trust in yourself.

About B.G.

Hi. I enjoy writing and sharing my experiences with others. For many years, I have struggled with anxiety and know how difficult it is to deal with something so seemingly limiting. My hobbies include: writing, reading, watching TV, and working hard to get through my anxiety. I hope that through my writing I can help others realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can overcome their obstacles! I currently have blogs at www.gettingthroughanxiety.wordpress.com and www.restinpieceblog.wordpress.com - In addition, I am the author of the fantasy-horror novel, Rest in Piece and short story collection, Abstract Clarity.

  1. I agree 100%! For every major goal attained, I had to motivate myself because there were not others in my inner circle that had achieved what I was working towards. I survived a divorce unscathed, became debt free working three jobs over the course of seven years, assisted a son with graduating college debt free (B.S. in Engineering), went back to school to obtain a Life Coach Certification and start a business as a post divorce plan, and am currently working on my first book. Those that support me are those met on each journey. None of my friends or family probably even believed I could accomplish what I did. I became my own S-H-E-R-O!

  2. I really needed to read this this morning!!!! Thank you B.G. <3

  3. Nice. All we need is within us. A mentor’s job is to make sure we bring it out!
