Thinking about how you’re going to overcome your fears is simple. Planning out ways to succeed is easy. The hard part is actually going through with your plans. Goals cannot be achieved on thought alone.
How many times have you sat down and set your alarm, hoping that the annoying buzzing would prompt you to get up and exercise? How many times have you found yourself ignoring that alarm or resetting it so that you could procrastinate doing what’s best for your health? How many times have you made New Year’s resolutions only to slowly fall behind, making other things your top priority?
Being human, we’re all susceptible to not following through on our goals. We get busy, lazy, or find ourselves struggling due to health issues. However, if we truly want to conquer our fears and succeed in achieving our goals, we have to get up and work hard.
If you find yourself constantly making plans that don’t last, you need to find a new plan or find a way to follow through on the existing one. Thinking about how to overcome your struggles will not bring you success – getting out and being active will.
