Taking action, particularly big action, is scary for most people. It leaves the possibility of disappointment, especially if you set your hopes high for a possible outcome. With the possibility of disappointment running through the backs of our minds, imagine how many times in a life a person takes no action, and chooses comfortability over an exciting risk?
I’ve discovered that when I look back at past events, I always regret the actions I don’t take more than anything else. Even if I put myself out there and don’t get the outcome I desired, knowing that I did something feels much better than sitting on the sidelines and having no result.
Taking action can make great things happen in our lives. And if not, the risk could at least become a great adventure. And if not even an adventure, maybe it’ll one day simply be a good story. And no good story involves a person just standing still.
