Anxiety Is the Dizziness of Freedom – SøRen Kierkegaard

Fear is a vicious cycle. If allowed, fear can consume our lives and make us feel weak. While a part of us knows that the best way to challenge these fears is to face them head-on, our anxiety often demands to be heard; to be listened to.

Fear and anxiety often team up to make us feel powerless. Both sensations feed on self-doubt and try to bring every negative thought we’ve ever experienced to light. Even on the best of days, listening to our fears can cause us to lose faith in ourselves.

With this being said, however, we can still beat anxiety at its own game. We don’t have to be at the mercy of our doubts. Instead, we can turn the tables and make our anxiety weak, having it realize that we are the ones in control.

We all deserve to live happy and healthy lives. Fear takes our freedom and confuses the concept; making us feel as if we don’t deserve to live a life devoid of the weight of stress. The truth of the matter is though, that we owe it to ourselves to try to be free from our anxiety.
