Don’t Concern Yourself With the Opinions of Those Who Judge You. That Is Placing on Them an Importance They Do Not Have – Donna Lynn Hope

We all struggle. It is because of this fact that we are able to connect with and help others. However, at the same, we each deal with our own unique issues in our own way – meaning that no one knows exactly what we go through except for ourselves.

People are going to judge – it’s part of the human condition. The important thing to remember is that no one is you. You are the only one who truly knows what it’s like to live your life.

Along with our own struggles, we also each have our own achievements and accomplishments. Instead of merely focusing on our shortcomings, we need to be concentrating on the positive aspects of our lives.

I want you to try something. The next time someone says something negative about you or makes you feel less than wonderful, remember all of the amazing accomplishments and experiences that you have achieved and been a part of. Remind yourself of your talents, your successes, and all of the people who love you for who you are. Write down and mentally list all of your awesome qualities!

We should never judge others based on how we think they should deal with their struggles. We are all unique and therefore all process and work through our issues differently. Let us support ourselves and others in the fight against what holds us back.

About B.G.

Hi. I enjoy writing and sharing my experiences with others. For many years, I have struggled with anxiety and know how difficult it is to deal with something so seemingly limiting. My hobbies include: writing, reading, watching TV, and working hard to get through my anxiety. I hope that through my writing I can help others realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can overcome their obstacles! I currently have blogs at www.gettingthroughanxiety.wordpress.com and www.restinpieceblog.wordpress.com - In addition, I am the author of the fantasy-horror novel, Rest in Piece and short story collection, Abstract Clarity.

  1. So true. And to waste energy worrying about something we can likely not change–that’s not wise. So many other better things to do.
