Every Day Is a Good Day. Your Every-Day Mind – That Is the Way – Yunmen Wenyan

Life is busy.  In this digital age, distraction is readily available and always lurking, just waiting for a chance to grab our attention and engagement.  Stress and worry seem ever easier to conjure up with every passing month.  And if you’re willing, you can discover something every day that will sap your joy, destroy your mood, or drain your peace of mind.

But the opposite is also true.  If you’re willing, you can make it a point to notice something positive every day that can bring you joy.  You can reframe stressful events as opportunities for growth.  You can be mindful that worry is simply nothing more than thoughts, and without your belief in them, they hold little power.

You can be that small helping hand to others in need when you feel the opposite is going on around you.  You can still smile when things don’t work out – you can be grateful for the simple opportunity just to experience yet another day, regardless of circumstances.  And you can radiate love to all those you encounter.

Be mindful of these every-day choices you have, make today a great day, because you decided it will be.

  1. One of my Every Day pick-ups is my “theseeds4life” nugget of advice, ideas to consider, hints for happiness and joy, and encouragement for facing life delivered to one of my emails. These words of wisdom and hope are often dead on for my day. Thank you so much for such a positive site and all your thoughtful bloggers.

  2. I just noticed in your “About” section, the phrase “to combat our mental weeds.” I LOVE THAT! I, for one, believe that our world has become addicted to outrage. We are all being trained to be pissed off by a media system that is simply fishing for “click-bait.” Your blog is an antidote! Thank you! ~ Lynn
