Feeling Good About Your Life, but Not Expressing a Heartfelt ‘Thank You,’ Is Like Wrapping a Gift for Someone and Never Giving It to Them – Chip Conley

When we’re feeling good about our job, relationships, or just life in general, one of the best ways to spread joy and feel even better is to show that gratitude. It may be surprising to find just how simply talking about or showing how thankful and happy we are can lead to more happiness. But the feeling it spreads is undeniable.

You can show gratitude by giving gifts, doing favors, writing cards, or even just telling someone, “thank you.” This is the best part of gratitude – it does not need to be a big, showy event. It can take about 10 seconds out of your day.

Happiness and good feelings are best when shared, and they can just keep spreading. You never know who’s day you’ll change.

  1. We all need to show grattitude, be thankful, be the best versions of us we can be. My wrapping skills are non existent and make me lower my head in shame when I hand them over. But! I am vocally thankful, greatful for the air I breath, my cup is half full and I look for the good in every situation, in every person. Laugh and the world laughs with you. X happy 2018.

  2. I am so pleased you shared this. I have a friend who feels he is entitled, and never thanks anyone for all that everyone does for him. It is as if he doesn’t have that button in his brain for appreciation.
    Great read. 🙂
