As human beings, our dreams and goals are often what motivates us to become our best selves. Still, it can be difficult to summon the courage to go out and make these dreams a reality. We tend to worry about not being good enough or even, becoming successful and then somehow, losing all that we have gained on the journey.
The thing about dreams and goals is that, while they’re always good to possess, if you simply think about them and don’t put any effort into achieving them, they tend to lose a great amount of purpose. Dreams are meant to be sought after and worked towards, not simply toyed with in the back of our mind.
If you’re finding it hard to take a chance on yourself because you’re afraid of failure, remember that no matter what the outcome, the only way to succeed is to try. If you do try and you don’t like the outcome, don’t give up. Practice may not make perfect, but it does make a difference. If you have a healthy goal that you know in your heart is worth fighting for, then do exactly that! When the day comes that you get that job you’ve always wanted, get awarded that award, or get through that struggle that’s been weighing you down, you’ll see that it was worth the hard work!
