The most limiting thing we can do is not believing in ourselves – to doubt our abilities and think we cannot. There are many times when life throws a curveball at you, and in the midst of it, we feel overwhelmed and unable to cope. But once it passes and you make it out to the other side, you surprise yourself with your strength.
It’s when challenging things happen to us that we learn what we are capable of, and of our own strengths. Without difficult times, everything is easy, life is comfortable – stagnant, and we have no opportunity to see our potential.
To believe in yourself is having an unshakeable certainty from within that no person, no external circumstances can affect you. It is knowing that given any challenge that arises, no matter how difficult; you will find the resources within yourself to cope.
Believing in yourself isn’t just positive thinking, it actually produces results because it fills the space between what is and what could be. When you hold the belief that you are indeed capable of something, you are more likely to take massive action to reach your goals because you believe it is possible. If we allowed ourselves to believe in ourselves, then we would go out of our comfort zones more because failure would not scare us or deter us.
No one holds the power to determine what you can achieve. Your potential is only what you perceive it to be ― only you can decide what you are capable of. And so you have the ability to choose yourself. So what will you choose?
