My Life Didn’t Please Me, So I Created My Life – Coco Chanel

Life, at times, can make us feel bored, stuck, or frustrated. As responsibilities stack up, we may feel like we have run out of options for new excitement or adventure. And the more time passes, the more our responsibilities grow.

However, this is simply why it’s important to realize that we have the power to be creative and playful with our life and design it the way we wish.

Keeping a playful spirit in life can drastically improve your days for the better. If you feel stuck in a rut at home and in your personal life, that may mean it’s time to try a new hobby or do something completely unusual. If you feel trapped at work, that may mean you should try to talk to your supervisor or even look for a new career path.

Finally, if you feel unhappy but unable to make any changes, it can simply be important to talk to someone about it.  None of us are doomed to live a life we don’t want. But changing our lives can depend on our actions and spirit.

  1. Hi! I really loved this post. Life can be hard and sometimes it can seem mundane and boring. I really like the quote you used by Coco Chanel, it shows us we are in control of our lives and can choose what we want. I wrote a post on happiness nearly a year ago saying that I think it’s a choice, check it out here: https://joannemiriammulley.wordpress.com/2017/02/05/happiness-is-a-choice/
    Thanks for this post x

    • I used to watch Shays videos too when they were posting, Shay was actually one of my inspirations for starting this website years ago! My favorite quote of his “The secrets to life are hidden behind the word cliché.” Great post Joanne, thanks for sharing!

      • Yeah it’s such a shame with the family and what they are going through now, I hope it all works out for them.
Yes! I love that quote if his as well, he was an inspiration to so many, and I’m sure still is in other ways now that he is overcoming his problems!

  2. Great post April for speaking the mind of many. Even though it is understood that we are responsible for our own life, it is good to articulate it as you did as a reminder to all. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Very inspring, and motivational! Great post : )

  4. Coco Chanel knew what she was talking about. Hubs and I sort of got thrown into our situation, but soon discovered that we were able to reinvent ourselves, and we are creating the lives we want to live. If only we had known back then what we know now! Seize the day! Create the life you want! We’re living proof it can be done, and we’re having more fun now than we ever had before! ~ Lynn

  5. So true! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
