The Secret of Your Future Is Hidden in Your Daily Routine – Mike Murdock

Make no mistake about it, your daily habits are taking you somewhere – Do you know where? Are you engaged in the proper daily disciplines that will help take you to where you want to go in the future?

Take a moment this morning to reflect on your daily habits.  If you continued with the same actions you’re currently engaged in, where will you arrive in 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years?  We need to allow ourselves to become aware and understand the bigger picture so that we can start making some changes and adjustments if need be.

Everything you do, no matter how small, has a consequence. Some show up quickly, but most take years. But never be mistaken, they always show up. Either for our benefit or our detriment.

It’s so easy to surrender to the desires for instant gratification that we allow the mindfulness of the long-term consequences to our actions to slide from the forefront of our minds.

Today, be aware of your daily routine; for your habits are the fortune tellers of your destiny.

  1. This is a great seed and it’s absolutely true! I’ve come to realize that having a more structured schedule helps us make progress!

  2. Hello! I have nominated you for the “One Lovely Blog Award” (please see link: https://thelookingglasslife.wordpress.com/2016/06/13/one-lovely-blog-award ) 🙂

  3. It’s such a great reminder .. It came to me at the right moment … Very nice ????????

  4. I agree with the sentiment that all of our actions and behaviours have consequences. I agree that lots of our ingrained beliefs and habitual behaviours are learnt behaviour that can have detrimental effects. To become aware and change is extremely difficult and I wish you had an extra layer to your post giving a little more insight.
I understand that’ it is a seed…and it’s a good one…but concerned germination might only occur in already fertile soil.

  5. I loved this! Especially as I’ve just been wrestling with trying to do too much in too little time. Compare ‘tasks’ and ‘actions’ against your bigger plans and longer term desires is such a great way to be able to prioritise. Thanks for reminding me of this just when I need it!

  6. Really gave me some food for thought. Thanks! And thanks for stopping by my blog and bringing me to yours:-)
