As we get older and take on more responsibility, our daily lives become more and more full. With all of the activities, chores, errands, and more, it may be difficult to regularly have time to sit back, relax, and reflect on ourselves and how we’re feeling. This can be when we start to feel disconnected from ourselves.
The more disconnected we become from ourselves, the more we may forget about what’s important. We may forget to resolve negative feelings, focus on personal goals, or put effort into important relationships. If we feel a little lost or discontent in our daily lives, this may be what’s missing.
It’s important to try to reconnect and get in touch with our inner person and feelings whenever possible. This can be done with a cup of coffee and a journal, a solo hike through the woods, or even just an hour of yoga. This can make a huge difference in our daily mood, helping us become rejuvenated and ready to take on the world again.
