Next time a bird flies above, take a few moments to observe it. Notice how it glides with the wind; how it brings the wind under its chest and keeps its focus; all while dancing and swaying with this wind. When it tires of flight, it finds a friend in trees and rests among its branches. When it is rested, it takes off again to meet the elements.
These birds trust their abilities enough to conquer gravity and push forward. The elements have taught them to rise high when needed, rest when needed, seek shelter when needed, and migrate “home” when needed; these lessons are learned by birds connected with the notion that life is a teacher. If we are to glide with the winds of change, we need to trust that the elements that bring change will also bring lessons for us to improve our connection to ourselves, and our journey.
To obtain a bird’s eye is to observe and believe in our abilities. It is to turn the blizzards of our everyday lives, the challenges, the obstacles, and the problems, into our teachers. The teachers who will teach us when to rise high, to rest, to seek shelter, and to migrate “home.” – To obtain a bird’s eye is to turn a blizzard to a breeze.
