Too many of us are quick at judging ourselves and the work that we do – or try to do.
This is a very harmful kind of behavior, most often because we don’t realize that we are putting spanners in the works for ourselves.
Motivating yourself is hard enough as it is without us judging how we’re doing in our process. The fact that you’re just thinking of, or that you’re wanting to make a change, is fantastic! It shows that you’re aware enough to realize your current situation and what works and what doesn’t work. Be proud of yourself for this!
When you then move forward, it’ll be much easier to allow yourself to be good enough, no matter the outcome of things.
You won’t always get things right – it is human to fall down every now and then – but the fact that you’re willing, that you’re trying your best to move forward, certainly is more than good enough.
So be a little kinder to yourself. Acknowledge the efforts that you put in and be proud of yourself, and you’ll see that the work will become more and more effortless.
