You Can’t Start the Next Chapter of Your Life If You Keep Re-Reading the Last One – Unknown

Don’t make the mistake of getting stuck in the pages of your past.  It’s important to be able to reference it from time to time to learn from any mistakes and failures, but you must always remember to eventually turn the page.

Your future is still yet to be written, and the only way to ensure that you will be the author, creating a storyline you desire, is by looking forward.  Your future will still be written while you are stuck re-reading your past, but it will be by your circumstances, environment or somebody else, and you might not like the story they have in mind for you…

Now is the perfect moment to start the next chapter of your life, trust in yourself and your abilities.  Create new goals and dreams for your future and get busy doing.  You can write a life full of adventure, love, and happiness.

So don’t remain stuck in the pages of your past, be the author of your new future, and let others marvel at your words.

  1. I think this is such a good post because so many times in life, I think we tend to let our past anxieties or perceived failures control us in the present or future. I think we tend to remember times when we were anxious or upset and then by doing so, we connect that emotion with the activity that made us anxious and we continue to feel that way. While it may not be easy, we have to try to focus on our positive experiences and the fact that we can get through our struggles instead of holding onto the negative.

Also, once again I love the image you chose for the post!

    • Exactly B.G, that is why anxiety can be such a vicious circle. Our minds selectively focus on a past negative (real or perceived) event and will start to believe that it’s the only option. Very well said, thank you!
